 WANDERING WITH THE WRIGHTS

February 13, 2021

The last blog was right before Christmas and here we are right before Valentines Day.

We are still in Benson, AZ and will be here until late April

It has been very quiet here this year but have still had fun and are very glad we are.

Our view of the Eclipse

Teddy hangin on top of the couch where he has a good view outside

It can get down to below freezing in January at night so we make sure our boy is all tucked in for the night

We have a wonderful Mexican Restaurant here in town.  We did carry out for my birthday and this was my taco salad - it was beautiful and delicious

Since the clubhouse is still closed for large gatherings various committees are adapting and offering classes outside.  This is the a class where we learned how to make cement stepping stones.

It was fun to see everyone's creations - so many different ideas

This is Jerry's

They all looked really nice once they were dry and cleaned up

Our youngest grandson, Vincent, sent me this sign for my birthday

We live in a CO-OP so everyone is expected to chip in and help the best that they can - caught some of the landscaping crew, which Jerry is a member of, outback of our rig cleaning up and pulling weeds.
It is because of them that we have such a beautiful place to spend our winters.

We have beautiful sunsets here but I am not usually outside early enough to see the sunrise but caught this beauty a few weeks ago

We even had a little snow in January - very little but it was snow

At the higher mountain elevations they get more snow and it lasts longer, ours was gone before lunch).

We have started volunteering once a week at the local food bank.
We volunteer with a great group of people.  Every wears masks and we are outside.

We average 300+ cars every Wednesday

Little hard to see but this is about half of the cases of green beans we repackaged and handed out

Vincent turned 4 last week - I normally would have been home for the celebration but because of Covid had decided not to go this year - thank heavens as they are having really cold temps and lots of snow.  We do really miss him though

This is the front of our casita, which you have seen before but Jerry got creative and added some cactus to brighten it up - It was a lot of work but turned out beautiful!!

That is pretty much it for the last few months.  Not near as much as normal but as I said earlier we feel extremely blessed to be here and to have not had Covid.  We are getting our first shots starting next week.
